Hatha yoga means the yoga that you start with your body. It’s a physical practice of the body that balances the energies in the body. By working with the body, disciplining the body, purifying the body and preparing the body for higher levels of energy Hatha Yoga is the best choice. It is the foundation of all Yoga styles. It is commonly used to describe the practice of postures. The goal of this yoga type is to help you in developing flexibility and balance and to integrate breath into every movement in your life, so it is generally relaxing and curative. Hatha refers to any practice that combines poses, or asanas, with breathing techniques, or pranayamas.
According to the definition, hatha is a physical yoga practice, which is pretty much among all yoga you’ll find in this hemisphere for your physical and mental fitness. One of the six original branches of yoga, “hatha” encompasses nearly all types of modern yoga. It includes postures, regulated the breath, meditation, repetitive physical exercises coupled with intense breath work - while also chanting, singing, etc.
It is not only a source of exercise but also used for stress management and self realization. To practice Hatha you should be calm and in meditative mood. Sit quietly for a few moments, then bagin in series, slowly, gracefully and with control. Aware inward feelings for the performance of various posses that you want to practice in a practice session. Try to enjoy your practice. Take it easy and don’t compete or overdo with others.
